Yeah, this place has been conceived for those of us who are “over 50,” but still going strong! So, what the heck is this place, anyway? Think of Over50Music as a place for all of us who are searching—and yearning for the cool stuff we grew up with and then lived through as young adults, and finding others who are looking for the same.
If you’re like us, so much of who we are revolves around the MUSIC, does it not? It’s the music we grew up with, dated to, fell in love with, made and raised kids with and grooved to as young adults. As the song says, “We Love Rock And Roll” and, depending on what age we are, we may even love the wacky “pre rock and roll” music of our childhood.
When we hear those favorite unforgettable songs, the ones we listened to over the radio or at parties, a sort of “magic mental time machine” kicks into gear! The music takes us back. The music videos start to play in our minds, and we are instantly transformed back in time. Suddenly, the sights, sounds and even the smells come roaring back!
